Meet the Interior Designer, Merrie!

Hi, I'm Merrie. I am the owner, and principal interior designer of Merrie Joy Interiors.

I've had a passion for interior design for as long as I can remember - it's not just my job, it's my forever love. As a kid, I was the one flipping my bedroom upside down for the umpteenth time, searching for that just right vibe. This passion continued well into college, where envisioning my dorm's next look was my kind of thrill, fingers flipping through decor mags like there was no tomorrow.

There's something magical about creating spaces that make hearts sing and seeing that spark in my client's eyes - that's the real deal for me. I invite you to have a look at our portfolio and see for yourself how we've turned simple visions into enchanting spaces.

Life's a wild ride with three young boys, so, believe me, I understand the need for a home that's both beautiful and seemingly indestructible. My mission is crafting spaces that are zen-like sanctuaries amidst the daily whirlwind. It's about ensuring calm isn't just a corner of the home, but its heartbeat.

When I'm not in design mode, I'm either uncorking a bottle of wine with my other half, David, at local vineyards around our home in Loudoun County, VA, or playing #1 fan at my boys' sports games. And when the Virginia hills call, I'm hiking with our three lovable pups in tow.
